CSF Linked To Multiple Sclerosis

25/11/2009 20:48

Paolo Zamboni, an Italian professor of medicine conducted a small investigation using ultrasound imagining of vessels surrounding the brain in patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The results showed that 90% of these individuals had a malformed or blocked venous supply from the brain. He hypothesises that iron damages the blood vessels allowing immune cells to cross the blood-brain barrier into the CSF and destroy the myelin sheath surrounding nerves. Dr. Zamboni claims the underlying cause of MS is a condition he has dubbed ‘chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency’ and repairing the vascular problems can treat MS.
